Industrial Automation Wiki Edit

As described in wikipedia, Industrial Automation is the use of control systems such as computers to control industrial machinery and processes, replacing human operators.

This wiki captures the knowledge on topics of Industrial Automation, Process Control, Supervisory Control, Distributed Control Systems, Control Theory, Programmable Logic Controllers, and related industry trends in hardware and software.

Rather than an overview, the topics in this wiki may get as in-depth as desired by the contributors. In the end, this wiki is to serve the knowledge base and source of reference for all topics related to Industrial Automation.

Those items that already defined in wikipedia should not be replicated in the same level of detail here. The entry should have it's own page in this wiki, along with a brief description, but the reference to the wikipedia should be included in the page's References section. For example, see the PLC entry.
